		<description>Scott: That&#039;s a good point; another group member read &lt;i&gt;The Road to Wigan Pier&lt;/i&gt; for our project.  In terms of topic and message, I&#039;d say that book would be a bigger influence for someone like Ehrenreich because Orwell finds his voice more in &lt;i&gt;Wigan Pier&lt;/i&gt;.  But I think in terms of form and the idea of immersing yourself in a story, &lt;i&gt;Down and Out&lt;/i&gt; is a better exemplar.  Who knows though, maybe I should just ask her myself :)

chartroose: It&#039;s good nonfiction, just not my favorite ever.  I&#039;d love to hear what you think if you end up reading it!</description>
