Happy Birthday, Me :)

birthday cupcakesSo, today is my 23rd birthday!

Normally I wouldn’t post about this specifically, but I think it makes a good short post for Blog Post Bingo (which anyone can participate in!).

I don’t have any big plans for today — Boyfriend took me to see Mat Kearney in concert last night, and I’m celebrating with friends later in the week. I think I might just have a quiet evening and try to catch up with Infinite Jest (I’m behind after the holiday weekend) and maybe watch some more of Weeds, Season 1.

In any case, enjoy the virtual cupcakes — don’t those look cute? — and have a wonderful day!

Happy birthday!
I thought you were older than that – please take that as a compliment – you just come across as being really mature.
Have a great day!

Happy Birthday! It’s my birthday too, and you’re only the second person I’ve ever (virtually) met who shares it!

And I agree, you sound older than 23. I mean that in a good way.

Happy 23rd! You will be pleased to hear that 23 is a happy prime number! Which means if you add the square roots of each digit, and then add the square roots of each digit of the previous total, and keep doing that, it will eventually go to 1. You’ll have another one at 31 and then no more happy primes until you live to 79. So cherish this moment.

This geeky moment brought to you by Doctor Who. :P

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone! It made my day to keep coming back to my e-mail and having more good wishes.

I didn’t know I sounded much older than 23, but I think that’s a good thing :)

I’m late but happy birthday!

Louise July 13, 2009 at 10:55 am

Congrats – although slightly belated :)

When I was 23, I hadn’t even started the serious stuff yet (which you mention below in the post about your uncle’s dedication in the book), and I feel the same now ;) When will I begin the serious stuff? Is there something about the somewhat cliche-ish saying that “life is what happens while you are waiting for it”?

Anyway, didn’t mean to get all philosofical, just wanted to say hi and thank you for your posts left on my pages while I was away. I am back home now and trying to catch up on everything.

Michelle July 14, 2009 at 7:48 am
