Before I started blogging I might not have been interested either, but now I find it fascinating. It's nice to have context for some of the issues that come up in blogging today.

This sounds really interesting to me. Until I started blogging, this book probably would never have really interested me, but now that I do blog and read blogs, I want to know more. Definitely adding this to my TBR list.

It is definitely short, within the last 10-15 years for sure. This is a great social history book, especially since it doesn't get bogged down in technicalities and really lets the personalities of the bloggers come through. Which is good, since blogging is much more about personality than it is technical skill.

I'm with Rebecca, I wouldn't have thought there would be a lot to say (the history is so short), BUT, you make a great point about how it began and how it has changed (and continues to evolve) ... social history is my "thing," so I'll look for SAY EVERYTHING.

I know, blogging has just taken off! I never expected my blog to go in the direction it's gone. I hope you get a chance to read the book.

I didn't really know much either. I'm a lot more familiar with the bloggers versus journalists debate and how blogging today is impacting journalism. This book was cool because it gave me some of the history behind that discussion and where some of the tensions came from.
