This morning I found out that Sophisticated Dorkiness was voted the Best Non-Fiction Review Blog for Book Blogger Appreciation Week 2010. I can’t even begin to tell you what a huge smile that put on my face.
And then all the congrats from friends and other book bloggers on Twitter — that was just awesome too.
The rest of the shortlisted bloggers — SMS Book Reviews and Mental Foodie — are also amazing blogs, as were all the blogs on the long list and the ones I got to look at for the initial nomination process. Nonfiction doesn’t always get the attention I wish it did in book blogging, but that’s certainly not for lack of quality nonfiction reviews on those blogs and others.

I have Intense Debate on my blogs. You need to open a particular post. The blog I linked to is also a portal to three others, if there’s another that particularly strikes your fancy. But it’s also the one that has my posts on the book business and writing.
