Currently… Sunday, February 26 Edition

I’m borrowing the idea for this post format from Kathleen who blogs over at Kapachino; I hope she doesn’t mind! I expect to be back in full blogging form with a review on Tuesday. Happy Sunday!

Time // 10:15 a.m.

Place // At my desk in my home office/library/cat playroom.

Eating // An egg over hard on toast. This has been my breakfast of choice lately. Yum.

Drinking // Milk (out of a stemless wine glass, classy) and a mug of Good Earth Mate and Citrus Energizing Tea.

Watching // The Boyfriend and I are in the middle of season two of The Wire. We tried to watch Sherlock last night, but Netflix was not working

Reading // Lost in Shangri-La by Mitchell Zuckoff (my last read for the Indie Lit Awards!!) and Garlic and Sapphires by Ruth Reichl.

Wanting // A Cadbury Cream Egg, more bookshelves.

Thinking // About my projects for today — pay bills, clean my desk, prep for an interview tomorrow, go to the gym, and finish prepping some book reviews for the week.

Creating // Nothing… I’m in the middle of knitting or crocheting two scarves, but I haven’t worked on them for a long time. Well, I guess I did write six book reviews yesterday, so that’s creating something.

Hoping // That nothing crazy happened over the weekend so tomorrow will be a chill day at work.

Needing // An afternoon trip to a used bookstore. Shopping for books online just isn’t quite the same.

Anticipating // My trip to the gym after a week off. I did something to my foot last Sunday, so I decided not to push things and took a week away from the gym and Couch to 5K. This afternoon is my first day back, so I hope it goes ok.

I really enjoyed Lost in Shangri-La, hope you do too. It sounds like you have a good day ahead of you, have fun!

I did! This was a re-read for me, and I liked it as much as I did the first time.

You wrote six reviews yesterday?! You’re amazing. I hope you have a great week.

    • Kim March 3, 2012, 1:46 pm

Well, they weren’t totally done 🙂 I need to do formatting and stuff, but yeah, I got the bones of six reviews written. It was fabulous!

I now want your wants too! Yum! And…I’ve been dreamily eying the Ikea catalog for bookshelves…

I may have to borrow the format from you for a post later in the week, fun!

I have plans to visit IKEA next time, so I may bring some new bookshelves home. But since we’re in a rental, it’s really hard to figure out what shelves to buy that will work in a new place when we move again.

Mmmm, Cadbury Cream Egg. I am wanting one of those now, too! And a Shamrock Shake! (Which apparently my mind thinks is relevant to this comment because it’s also a delicious seasonal food?) 😉

Hope you have a great week!

Mmm, Cadbury Eggs. I want more. Also, yay seasonal food!

I hope things went well for you at the gym! Have a great week!

They were ok. I think I hurt my foot again, but we’ll see. Boo 🙁

Cadbury Mini Eggs are my weakness. It’s a good thing they are only available at Easter.

    • Kim March 3, 2012, 1:48 pm

Yeah, it’s a really good thing. I cannot get enough of them. Yuuuum.

  • Kathleen February 27, 2012, 12:48 pm

I get almost all my blogging ideas from someone else so I’m happy to pass them on!

    • Kim March 3, 2012, 1:48 pm

I think we all borrow a bit 🙂 Glad you didn’t mind!

  • Trish March 5, 2012, 1:28 pm

Mmmm, now I want a Cadbury Cream Egg. 🙂

Will look forward to your thoughts on Reichl. I’ve only read her Tender at the Bone but really enjoyed it.

    • Kim March 6, 2012, 7:39 pm

They’re so good. Mmmmm, Cadbury Eggs. I liked Reichl’s book quite a bit; I definitely want to read more of what she’s written.
