The Readathon is Here!

dewey1Happy Readathon day, friends and fellow readers. I am so excited to spend the day cuddled up with several good books. Throughout the day I’ll be doing updates on my TumblrA Little Bit of Dorkiness, and my Twitter feed (@kimthedork) and, periodically, collecting them using Storify.

You should be able to see the embedded Storify for my Readathon below, but if not follow this link. If all goes according to plan, the most recent updates from the day will be at the top of the feed.

Happy Readathon!

Good luck! Today’s read-a-thon is the first in awhile that I won’t be participating in. My mom has a big chorus competition that I’m heading to go see. Your stack looks great I look forward to seeing what you think of the various books especially the Elizabeth McCracken.

Have fun! I wish I was in on the action. 🙂

  • Susan April 26, 2014, 10:24 am

OOOH I see the veronica Mars book in your lineup! Oh please read it and let me know what you think! I saw the movie and this book is on my wishlist for my upcoming birthday 🙂 I almost bought it earlier this month anyway, and it does carry from the ending of the movie, I’m happy to say.

Good luck with the marathon, I hope you enjoy it. I”m too late to join it – I only just realized I could have a lazy day and read through it. Gah! Next time I will plan better.

I’m really enjoying Veronica Mars! I have it on audio too, which is how I got some of it in today. I love that Kristen Bell is the narrator.

You have a great stack there and are doing great! Good luck and have fun reading 🙂

  • Allison (Allure of Books) April 26, 2014, 12:14 pm

I haven’t used audio that much for readathons in the past – but I definitely am this time around. It definitely helps fit in more reading time when I need to be doing other things!

I would call your Storify experiment a success! Great way of sharing updates! I hope you’re having a wonderful time with the read-a-thon 🙂

    • Kim April 30, 2014, 8:23 pm

Yeah, it was fun to try that! It didn’t integrate with Tumblr as smoothly as I thought it would, but otherwise I deem the experiment a success!

  • Kristy (Criosti) April 27, 2014, 12:54 am

The Storify worked really well. And I love that you were wearing your READ HARDER t-shirt. I guess it was the obvious choice.Keep at it! You’re almost done.

    • Kim April 30, 2014, 8:24 pm

Read Harder did seem like an obvious choice 🙂
